About
DinoShop.ro is a project born out of a passion for the long-lost world of dinosaurs and everything related to prehistoric life. Behind this project is a young team driven by the desire to popularize a subject that has fascinated us since childhood – dinosaurs and the mysteries of the world that existed before our time.
That is why we envisioned DinoShop.ro as more than just a simple store. We built it as a platform with both a commercial and educational purpose. Our goal is to create a community that brings together people who are passionate about this subject, regardless of age. Our blog features both articles and the latest news from the world of paleontology, as well as content dedicated to younger readers, introducing them to this fascinating universe.
In our online store we have brought together a wide range of products dedicated to those fascinated by paleontology. Here you will find authentic fossil specimens – from dinosaurs, sharks, and mammals to ammonites, sea urchins, and shells belonging to species that have long since disappeared. The selection is complemented by handmade fossil jewelry, illustrations, T-shirts, stickers, toys, and educational materials, all with a prehistoric theme. At the same time, our platform aims to bring together artists who are passionate about the field and wish to sell original products designed to bring the distant past back to life.
Over the years, DinoShop.ro’s portfolio and involvement have expanded beyond the boundaries of the online store, turning us into an active partner in education, design, and media:
- Museum collaborations (2017 – present): We have published educational articles and become a trusted partner for cultural institutions, geologists, and private collectors, with specimens featured in prestigious museums in Romania and abroad (Țării Crișurilor Museum in Oradea, Vama-Bucovina Egg Museum, Okinawa Prefecture Karate Museum, Japan).
- Regular presence at East European Comic Con (2017 – present): We are delighted to take part, year after year, in the East European Comic Con festival, the largest event dedicated to pop culture enthusiasts in Eastern Europe. Here, we bring the fascination of prehistory and our unique products directly to the fans!
- Themed interior design (2023 – 2024): We combined paleontology with interior architecture to design the reception area for Dr. Calenic Dental Clinic in Bucharest. The space was built around an impressive fossil collection, which became the clinic’s main focal point.
- TV appearance on HISTORY Channel (filmed in 2024 / aired in 2025): We were invited to appear on “Vânătorii de Comori: România” (Season 2), where we presented to a wider audience a fossilized dinosaur egg belonging to the species Segnosaurus galbinensis.
- Interactive presentations in schools (2025 – present): We have become actively involved in educating the new generation, delivering engaging lessons about fossils and the history of life on Earth to students in Bucharest (grades I–VIII), as part of the “Școala Altfel” and “Săptămâna Verde” programs.
