Authentic specimen of fossilized coral Dendrophyllia candelabrum unprocessed from Denmark, approximately 60 million years old. A gorgeous fossil with natural geometry, perfect for collectors!
Due to its age, the specimen may have imperfections and repaired areas (glued sections) that are perfectly normal and inevitable for such an old fossil, but it is, overall, in good condition. We invite you to carefully study the product photos to identify the natural imperfections and any possible repairs to the specimen.

Corals are marine invertebrates that live in compact colonies made up of many polyps connected by calcareous channels. After the polyps die, another calcareous skeleton is added to the old one, a process that leads to the formation of coral reefs – some of the most important marine ecosystems.
