Authentic fossilized Black Mako Shark tooth, 5.0 cm long, 15 million years old, Miocene, Belgium

RON 49,99

Authentic fossilized Mako Shark tooth specimen from Belgium, approximately 15 million years old, in a plastic box. A very ancient tooth from a fearsome predator!

Sharks have a vast number of teeth arranged in multiple rows, which are replaced frequently throughout their lives (even weekly). This, combined with the durability of enamel and the extensive period they have existed, makes fossilized shark teeth commonly found across various parts of the globe.

Due to the age of the specimen, the tooth may have imperfections and repaired areas (glued sections) that are perfectly normal and inevitable, but it is, overall, in good condition, with the enamel layer almost intact. We invite you to carefully study the product photos to identify the natural imperfections and any repairs to the specimen.
