Authentic Burmese amber specimen with insect and plant material inclusions, approximately 90 million years old. The specimen comes in a plastic box with a lid and a low-power magnifying glass and is accompanied by a Certificate of authenticity signed by a professional geologist who examined the specimen. Like a true time machine, this amber specimen allows its owner to look back in time to an insect preserved intact from approximately 90 million years ago, from the time of the dinosaurs!
The amber and the inclusion are authentic – the specimen has been tested under UV light, as shown in the photos (authentic amber takes on a milky blue or green color under UV light, unlike glass).
Please note that the insect measures only a few millimetres, as larger insects would have been able to free themselves from the resin before becoming trapped. Therefore, it is recommended to view the inclusion using a 30x/45x/60x magnifying loupe (the magnifier included with the box is not powerful enough). DinoShop.ro offers 30x and 60x magnifying loupes in the “Miscellaneous” category.
The specimen may have cracks and imperfections, either natural or resulting from processing, but is, overall, in very good condition. We invite you to carefully study the product photos to identify the imperfections of the specimen.
