Description

The Stegosaurus is an armored dinosaur that lived during the Jurassic period. Its tail and spikes allowed it to defend itself very effectively against large theropods (carnivores) like Allosaurus.
The name Stegosaurus means roofed lizard in Greek, its armor being nearly impenetrable.
Measuring approximately 9 meters long and 4 meters high, the Stegosaurus is one of the easiest dinosaurs to identify, thanks to the 2 rows of tall, vertical plates located on its back, as well as the 4 spikes on its tail, often used in self-defense.
