Authentic fossilized tooth specimen of Carcharodontosaurus saharicus (also known as the African T-Rex) from Morocco, approximately 100 million years old. A rare, large dinosaur tooth in very good condition, still retaining traces of the lateral serrations characteristic of the feared carnivorous dinosaurs. Comes in a floating plastic stand, perfect for display, and is accompanied by a Certificate of authenticity signed by a professional geologist who examined the specimen.
Reptiles have teeth that are replaced many times throughout their lives (even weekly). This, combined with the durability of enamel as well as the long span of time they inhabited the Earth, means that fossilized teeth of mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, pterosaurs, and dinosaurs are commonly found in various parts of the globe.
Due to the age of the specimen, the fragmentary nature of the fossil deposits in Morocco, and local extraction methods, the tooth may exhibit imperfections and repaired areas (glued sections) that are completely normal and unavoidable, but it is overall in good condition, with the enamel layer nearly intact. We invite you to carefully review the product photos to identify any natural imperfections or potential repairs on the specimen.
