Authentic fossilized Squalicorax Shark tooth specimen from Morocco, approximately 70 million years old, in a plastic box. A very old shark tooth with its serrations still sharp, from a shark that lived alongside the dinosaurs. An excellent gift for anyone passionate about sharks or paleontology!
Sharks have a very large number of teeth, in multiple rows, which are replaced many times during their lives (even weekly). This, combined with the durability of the enamel and the long period of time they lived, means that fossilized shark teeth are common in various parts of the world.
Due to the age of the specimen, the fragmentary nature of the fossil deposits in Morocco, and local extraction methods, the tooth may exhibit imperfections and repaired areas (glued sections) that are completely normal and unavoidable, but it is overall in good condition, with the enamel layer nearly intact. We invite you to carefully review the product photos to identify any natural imperfections or potential repairs on the specimen.
